Questions & Answers

1) How much does a website cost?
We charge $75 per hour for our services. We understand however that no one wants to enter into a contract without a predefined price tag. We therefore assess each new potential project individually beforehand and provide a free quote for a flat amount. Most projects take between 40-60 hours depending on the amount of features and pages included.

Typical projects therefore vary between $3000-$4500 (on average).

We encourage you to quickly fill out our Free Quote Form to see what we can do for you.

2) How much do you expect upfront?
We collect a total of 3 payments for each new project (one at the beginning, middle and towards the end).

The initial deposit is approximately 1/3 equaling $1000-$1500 depending on the total for your entire project.

3) What other ongoing costs are there?
Domain Name

A domain name is similar to your home’s physical address. Without an address no one would ever find your house. Your website will also need an address so people can find it. You can purchase your own domain name if you like, or we can help you get one through our preferred company of HostGator for $15.00 per year.

Website Hosting

A website’s host is similar to the property that your home sits on. Hosting companies place your website on a server which is always connected to the Internet so your visitors can access it 24×7. You can purchase your own hosting if you like, or we can help you get it through our preferred company of HostGator starting at $83.40 per year (with a 1st year discount of -$16.68). We have found HostGator to be the very best in the industry because they currently give you the most features and security for the price.

Website Maintenance

Excuse the continued analogy, but all homes show signs of wear and tear over time and it’s sometimes nice to rearrange the furniture and make the space more functional. Websites are no different. We charge $75 per hour for maintenance and can do a lot within that time. We are here for you at a moment’s notice any time you need us.

4) Do we need to meet in person?
No. We are extremely proficient at working by phone, email and even remote desktop sessions when needed. We realize that you are busy and we have worked very hard over the years to put systems into place that prevent our ever needing to meet in person. That said, we would be happy to sit down with you face to face initially to discuss your project if it makes you feel more comfortable.
5) What is expected of me?
At the beginning of each project we work directly with you to gather all of the information we need in order to get started. We figure out what types of website you like, what pages you want to have, what website features you want included, and compile the text and images needed for all of your web pages. We split this process up into several weekly homework assignments that you can do whenever it’s most convenient for you. Sounds fun right? I promise it’s better than it sounds. After that you can sit back and watch as your website comes to life based on our expertise and all the information we have worked together to acquire. We could just do it all for you but then it would be what we think you want and maybe not what you actually need.
6) How long will it take to complete my website?
It typically takes us 2-1/2 months from start to finish depending on the complexity of your project. Keep in mind that the first month we are primarily working with you to gather the information we need in order to get started on the design and development. If you are able to provide this to us more quickly then the project’s time will be greatly reduced accordingly.
7) Can I update my website myself?
Yes. Your website will be built in WordPress™ which is a content management system (CMS) that enables you to easily manage the content yourself. It’s the most popular CMS on the planet for a reason and an absolute dream to use. We’re so confident you’ll love it that we’ve restructured our entire business model to exclusively develop only in WordPress rather than the hundreds of others on the market.
8) Will my website be search engine friendly?
Yes. We use search engine optimization practices (SEO) during development to help you get found in the search engines.
9) Who owns the website once it is finished?
You do. Once your website is completed you are free to do whatever you want with it at any time.
10) Why should I hire you over any other company?
Simply put… because we take pride in our work, care about your success and deliver a polished finished product with a purpose.

If you were hoping for a little more check out our Why Us section.

11) How do I get started?
Just give us a call if you have any questions at all, or simply fill out a Free Quote Form to get an estimate. If we run into any questions we’ll quickly contact you by phone for further clarity before emailing your proposal. We hope to hear from you.
