Flash Finally on A Mobile Device!

Adobe’s Flash Player is fully functional on the revolutionary new HTC Hero Mobile Device. Hopefully other leading mobile devices like BlackBerries, Palms, & iPhones will be very soon to catch up. One thing is for sure, Flash can be a powerful asset to any website visitor’s experience, regardless of the medium that they are previewing it on. If device manufacturers are to remain competitive, they must give the public what they want, and we want Flash. We are very excited to see this new development.

Flash will soon be on TV's

flashtvIt has just been announced that Adobe Flash and Intel chip manufacturers will be collaborating to implement Flash into televisions later this coming year. This will allow Intel-based television set-top boxes to deliver the Flash software and its applications through the Intel CE 3100 processor to many high-definition sources.  Blu-ray disc players and digital televisions will also benefit from this newly developed technology once it is released.

This is just another sneak peek at how the Internet will one day be the same platform across all devices including computers, mobile phones, PDA’s, and now even televisions worldwide. Just imagine… consumers browsing and making purchases from your website in their living room with only a remote control and their TV. In case you could not tell (as a company that specializes in Flash creation), we are quite excited by the limitless possibilities of this new development! The websites that we build for our clients will soon reach an even broader audience than ever before.

Flash Technology

Flash technology has already proved itself to be one of the most effective and reliable means of professional website creation. This technology more and more wins the general approval and gains the popularity all over the Internet. Flash technology or interactive web animation technology was developed and distributed by Macromedia Company. It combines a great deal of technological solutions in the sphere of multimedia presentation of the information. The Flash development was mostly oriented towards the vector graphics what helped to realize all basic multimedia elements: motion, sound and object interactivity. But for all that, the size of these programs is minimal and they do not depend on a user’s screen resolution and web browser. These two aspects in their turn are the main requirements made to the Internet projects.

The main feature of Flash technology is that it can perfectly replace any ordinary web page based on HTML. And here we may see essential advantages of Flash over HTML. Flash editors allow you to create dynamic scenes with different objects and describe the processes that will be performed during playback. The event-driven language ActionScript serves exactly this purpose. Of course, you may use GIF animation to create living and bright effects, but GIF file consisting of many images saved in one, is remarkably bigger than a regular image and takes a lot of time to load. And in this case you cannot control the animation as in Flash. Flash movies are in many ways similar to java applets, but it is easier to create Flash animations because java applets require programming skills.

Without a doubt Flash makes the web site more dynamic, interactive, eye-catching and impressive. It allows you to use more sound and graphic effects. The programs required for web pages creation are shareware, and Adobe gives the opportunity to use them freely during thirty days. All of the software required for viewing Flash pages is absolutely free. For this purpose you only need to install a special plug-in. But in most cases Flash page itself defines the absence of the required software and automatically downloads it; and only after that the page becomes visible.

Indisputable advantage of Flash is the possibility to create colorfully animated dynamic, interactive pages of very small size that are ideal for use on the Internet. Different types of web sites ranging from complex company applications to online stores, promo-sites, newspapers, magazines and entertainment portals get their benefits from Flash animated effects. If a web master has a purpose to present a small amount of information, for example advertising information, in the most detailed way, he should definitely use Flash to win a success. Moreover, Flash web templates become very popular among web professionals as well as amateurs who aspire to develop a captivating professional website without spending much time, money and efforts. Flash website templates are pre-made designs that just require additional customization to suit the needs of your project. This kind of web templates harmoniously combines theme-based graphics, action effects and sound accompaniment.

Flash technology is one of the perfect ways for creating multimedia presentation with the help of which you may tell about your company, form a good impression on your potential customers and provide a basis for further cooperation. Also multimedia presentation helps you announce new products and services giving a lot of useful information in the suitable interactive way. Due to the Flash animation this kind of presentations greatly differs from the traditional advertising means and gains a foothold in the market of computer technology. So, that’s why there is no wonder that big companies tend to use websites with Flash. But if you own a small personal website (whether online portfolio, weblog or personal gallery) and looking for the best solution for you to attract visitors’ attention, a website integrating Flash and HTML will be right for you.

Thus, Flash technology allows you to develop fully interactive websites for different purposes. Using Flash you can create a really unique design, navigation, and easily organize the dialogue with a customer.

Developing and Optimizing Your Website – Let Flash Help

Is your company planning to join the wide, wide world of the Web and is keen into building a corporate website? Perceptively, a company’s decision of building a web site arises from the need to inform and reach out wider to potential clients of their service or products.

Building and eventually developing a corporate website with all the requirements to optimize it, like content management, e-commerce solutions, graphic design applications, etc. can be quite overwhelming on the part of the company starting out for a web presence. Everybody aspires to create a web site that’s ‘sticky’, easy for the user to find their way around, and easy for everyone visiting to find the information they are looking for, browse through the site, and one that visitors will return to again and again. For this, we need an ingenious web designer and a reliable website development solution.

Be advised then, that since the few years Macromedia Flash has been around, it has now become an indispensable web development solution. Those who wants to create an impact upon their entrance in the Web might just consider Macromedia Flash a good option.

Internet surfers has come to recognize Flash as a ‘plug-in’ since some major web sites like CNN.com, Fox.com, Coke.com and Disney.com, owe their interactive features from its applications. The previous versions of Flash are installed in an average of 82.66% of browsers as of March 2001 (Flash 3 – 96%, Flash 4 – 92%, Flash 5 – 60%). Now its latest version has interesting and original interactive features.

How did Macromedia Flash became in-demand among the web developing community? Flash version 3 enabled the creation of short multimedia introductions to company sites. Eventually, the application designed full-fledged web sites. One feature of this application that held attention is that the sites could be scalable at any resolution, thus, they can be watched identically on either of the popular Netscape or Internet Explorer browsers. Still, a negative point that dismayed others was the fact that the plug-in need to be downloaded from the site. Since it could be done only once, the process of starting the Flash file was hindered. But the latest versions of Flash browser already include downloads enabling the Flash plug-in to install automatically and let users view Flash files easily.

Your company’s choice of web developers and designers must have definite ideas on which form a web site may take. While, some are loyal to HTML, faithful to textual, business-based notion of the Web, others have more faith in the ‘cutting edge technology’ and a website that’s expression based. It’s up to them how to take advantage of the Flash’s benefits. Flash version 4 introduced a scripting language called ActionScript which will allow your site to interact with the users. ActionScript also have series of buttons, controls, draggable windows located inside the browser. This makes advanced sites look more like operating systems rather than static web sites. Then, the Flash version 5 introduced the a highly restored ActionScript language that’s object-oriented. Quite alike JavaScript it now has a fully integrated development environment. Vector based images can also be created with Flash. It provides professional web designers with a complete tool sets around, thereby giving site users and customers astounding multimedia experiences that are functional at the same time.

Thus, we give you some solution in keeping your users happily browsing though your website and eventually turn them into your solid customers. Just remind your web developer that Flash is fast becoming the central application for generating hot, low-bandwidth, interactive content over the web.

How Flash Animation Revives the Dead

Flash uses the same principle as Dr. Frankenstein, but without the awful smell and having to get your hands dirty. Instead of using body parts from the dead, flash uses mostly vector based graphics to bring your message to life. But, be careful. Too much flash and you can create a monster! Ardis can help you draw the line.

In today’s market, it’s becoming more and more important to catch people’s attention quickly before they click away. Flash allows you to convey additional meanings to your message, more than just print or static images allow. Movement accentuates emotion, or can eliminate the need for emotion, depending on the purpose, allowing your message to be delivered to the consumer with less room for interpretation on their part. A mini-commercial for your website. If people read it, see it in action and hear it, they are more likely to remember it in the future.

People love entertainment. If you can entertain and educate people they will be more likely to desire your product and services. Consumers will be more likely to stay on your website to find out more if you can capture and intrigue them. Flash allows you to be funny, excited, determined and many other emotions, at the same time of showcasing what your company provides. This helps differentiate your business from all the others. Consumers are inundated with information that sounds and looks the same as the last guys. Flash gives you a chance to showcase what you do best, but you need a professional to do it.

Don’t let Frankenstein scare your business off! There is a tendency for many inexperienced web designers to go flash crazy. Your audience can only look at one thing at a time. Too much flash confuses the consumer and makes your website difficult to navigate. If you overload them, or have flash that takes too long to upload, the consumer will click away and you may lose them for good. A professional graphic artist can design animation that accentuates the message, at the same time entertaining and educating the audience.
